Ram Nanotech (RNT) has developed a nanoscale drug delivery system based on porous silicon (pSi). By controlling particle size, pore size, and surface chemistry, this material can be optimized for use in a variety of drug delivery applications, including extended-release. With our technology, we can load pSi with any anti-inflammatory or analgesic drug.

In life science applications, RNT’s platform technology applies the unique properties of biologically safe silicon to address the significant challenges of stability, solubility, and controlled release of complex therapeutic molecules. Porous silicon itself is nontoxic as it decomposes into bioavailable silicic acid. Ram Nanotech’s patented technology economically produces porous silicon powder in large quantities with particle sizes ranging from micrometer to the nanometer scale.
